Escapism is the newest project from influential and prolific DC muti-discplenary artist Ian Svenonius. Known for various musical projects dating back throughout the 90s to the present, including Nation of Ulysses, the Make Up and Chain and the Gang. For the current group as Wikipedia describes it:

“Formed as a solo project, Escape-ism encompasses a more lofi-electronic sound compared to Svenonius' band oriented projects. The band has featured Alexandria Cabral and Sandi Denton as live members and contributors. Live shows consist of programmed drum machines, sparse jagged guitars, and stream of conscious lyrics.”

Legendary Detroit musical artist Matthew Smith will be on site as well with his distinct psychedelic, soothing yet punk mellow sound. Known best for his work with his band Outrageous Cherry, Smith has also worked and toured with Rodriguez, Andre Williams, and Kim Fowley—to name a few.
